Order a replacement parchment

In the event of your parchment being lost, destroyed or damaged, you can request a replacement parchment by completing the Application for Parchment Replacement. If your original parchment has been lost the application must be accompanied by a Statutory Declaration signed by a Justice of the Peace. The fee for a replacement parchment is $50. This includes domestic or international postage if requested.

If you require a replacement parchment for courses you studied at an institution other than UniSA, please see Academic transcripts and parchments for courses studied at institutions other than UniSA.

Please note that a replacement parchment will not be identical to the original:

  • Pre-1991 parchments will not be issued in the name of the original awarding institution.
  • Replacement parchments issued for dual badged awards will be issued with the University of South Australia logo and seal only. If a graduate requests the replacement parchment be issued with the original dual badging this will incur additional cost, and may extend beyond the normal re-issue timeframe.
  • The replacement parchment will declare that it is a replacement and will have a replacement date.

Order parchment postage

If you choose not to attend your graduation ceremony, the University can post your parchment to you. The costs for postage and packaging are:

  • $10.00 for registered mail within Australia
  • $20.00 for DHL Courier overseas

Please note that you cannot use a post office box address outside of Australia.

If you wish to have your parchment posted to you go to myGraduation and select the mail within Australia or courier overseas option in myPreferences. An invoice will be sent to your student account at  myFinances

If you have graduated, please complete the Request for Postage of Award Parchment application form (PDF 237KB - download Adobe Reader).

Order copies of your Australian Higher Education Graduation Statement (AHEGS)

The AHEGS is the result of a Commonwealth Government initiative that aims to make Australian qualifications recognised throughout the world and is available to graduates who were conferred in an award on or after 20 December 2010.

Additional copies of an AHEGS may be purchased using the Application for Academic Transcript and Australian Higher Education Graduation Statement (AHEGS). The fee is $25 for one AHEGS plus $5 for each additional copy in the same print run. You may also purchase an AHEGS combined with an academic transcript - the fee for this purchase is $35, plus $5 for each additional copy in the same print run.

When intending to collect an AHEGS, please be prompt as documentation can only be held for a limited time. If your AHEGS has been destroyed, you will then need to re-apply for a copy and pay the required fee.

Please note: if your student record is in bad financial standing an AHEGS will not be issued until your overdue fees and charges have been paid in full.

Order copies of your academic transcript

If you require additional copies of your official academic transcript, you can purchase them at any time using the Application for Academic Transcript and Australian Higher Education Graduation Statement (AHEGS). You may lodge your application at any Campus Central Office. The fee for one academic transcript (including all courses) is $25.00. Additional transcripts requested at the same time are $5.00 each. You may also purchase an academic transcript combined with an AHEGS. The fee for this purchase is $35, plus $5 for each additional copy in the same print run. Please allow up to four working days for the Graduations and Records team to process the application form, except for pre-1991 records, which may take up to three weeks to prepare.

If you require an academic transcript for courses you studied at an institution other than UniSA, please see Academic transcripts and parchments for courses studied at institutions other than UniSA.

Collecting your transcript

If you choose to collect your transcript, you will be contacted when it is ready for collection. Please ensure you do so promptly as it is only possible to hold them for a limited time, after which they will be destroyed. If you do not collect your academic transcript and it is destroyed you will need to lodge another application and pay the applicable fee in order to obtain another copy. Photo identification is required when collecting your transcript. If someone else is collecting your transcript a letter of authority must be provided, and they must also bring photo identification with them.
