If your application is successful...

We will notify you if you need to provide original or certified original* documents. The following options are available.

1. Show your documents in person

If you are living in Adelaide, you can bring your original documents to our reception at Level 1, 101 Currie Street, Adelaide. We will take a copy and note that we have viewed the originals.

2. Send your documents by post

If you are living outside Adelaide, or are an international applicant, send your original or certified original* documents to:

Graduate Research: Admissions, Student and Academic Services
University of South Australia
GPO Box 2471
Adelaide, South Australia 5001

Documents will not be returned.

* To certify a document as a true copy:

  1. Present your original document and a copy to a Justice of the Peace, Commissioner of Oaths, Public Notary or other formally recognised authority (for example, a lawyer, doctor, police or university official).
  2. The official should sight the original and the copy of the document and ‘certify’ the copy by writing 'I certify that the copy is a true copy of the original document'.
  3. The official should stamp (if available) and sign under the statement and provide details of their occupation and contact details. This is then a 'certified original document'.
  4. Post the original certified document/s to the Graduate Research Centre.

Please note: the cost of any fees charged by notaries for certification of documents is the responsibility of you the applicant.

If you photocopy or scan the certified original document, you have removed the 'original' authenticity of the document and this will not satisfy the requirement of 'certified original document'.

3. Get an authorised education agent to email your documents

A University of South Australia authorised education agent can email a copy of your original or certified original documents to research.degrees@unisa.edu.au. The Graduate Research Centre only accepts certified documentation via email from the University's authorised education agents.
