Centre for Research in Education (CREd)

Bringing the School of Education’s research groups into one space, the Centre for Research in Education (CREd) fosters a rich diversity of research while sustaining a disciplinary focus.

Social justice, lifespan development and learning, and environmental and social sustainability are our three key concerns. We are also committed to valuing cultural difference and innovation.

Our research has a strategic focus on the following six approaches: Policy, leadership and governance, literacies and technologies, wellbeing, diversity and inclusion, curriculum and pedagogy studies, teacher education and educators’ learning, family, community and work.

Since our discipline is Education, it stands to reason that one of our main aims is to make the interface between our teaching and research more permeable. The thriving research culture that results in benefits for both academics and students.
