The creative industries create jobs and contribute to economic growth on a massive scale.

As an indication of size, the creative industries employ more people globally than the car industries of Europe, Japan and the USA combined.1

Growth in the creative industries is driven by global demand for digital and design services. The sector is incredibly dynamic, encompassing a huge range of fields including visual and performing arts, digital and multi-media, film and television, broadcasting, animation, web design, or writing and publishing.

There are also creative job opportunities in sectors that aren’t traditionally part of the creative industries – such as manufacturing, health or government.

The School of Creative Industries plays a key role in the education, training and development of future leaders across all the arts and creative disciplines. Our partnerships and connections provide fantastic opportunities for staff and students to engage with industry, and strong career outcomes for students.
