The UniSA Tax Clinic provides accessible tax services to members of the South Australian community seeking assistance with their tax affairs.
Under the supervision of qualified tax professionals, the UniSA Tax Clinic is staffed by undergraduate and postgraduate students who can support unrepresented taxpayers across a range of tax matters.
If you are an individual or a small business without a tax agent, we may be able to help you.
Free services for individuals include:
- Advice with tax deductions
- Preparation of tax returns for current and prior years
- Amending tax returns
- Assistance with responding to ATO letters and requests for information
- ATO dispute resolution including remission of penalties
- Negotiating payment plans and assisting with your tax debts
- Obtaining satisfaction with your tax assessment
- Assistance and advice with most individual tax matters
Free services for small or micro business include:
- Advice with tax deductions
- Preparation of tax returns for current and prior years
- ABN/GST registrations
- BAS preparation for current and prior periods
- Fringe Benefits Tax return preparation
- Wages, PAYG Withholding and Superannuation reconciliations for a business’s employees
- ATO dispute resolution including remission of penalties
- Obtaining satisfaction with your tax assessment
- Assistance and advice with most small business tax matters
Trained in professional conduct, Clinic staff are courteous, respectful and professional at all times. Client information and enquiries are treated as completely confidential.
We offer appointments in person at our City West campus, at the Elizabeth South Health Clinic, over the phone or online by videoconference.

Services and Fees
UniSA Tax Clinic services are provided free of charge.
If you satisfy our eligibility criteria, your initial appointment will be an interview of up to 60 minutes, with 1-2 UniSA students who will then review your tax issue with a tax professional and provide advice, or an alternative recommendation.

Teaching and Learning
The Clinic offers an important service to our community and provides an opportunity for undergraduate and postgraduate business students to use their tax knowledge and develop professional skills. The student-run Clinic equips students with the business skills and knowledge required for professional tax practice.

Parking
Parking is not available on campus, however there is some on-street and off-street parking nearby. The closest car parking facility is available on Hindley St (enter from Clarendon St), or you can use the following parking facilities which are within an easy walking distance to the Clinic:

- Secure Parking - 124 Hindley Street

UniSA Health Clinic Elizabeth
Parking
The UniSA Health Clinic has a designated parking zone with free parking available to patients in the carpark located north of the clinic entrance and through the boom gates. A code is required to exit the carpark which can be obtained from our reception staff.
