The Samstag Museum is located in the Hawke Building, 55 North Terrace, Adelaide as part of the University of South Australia's City West campus, an easy fifteen minute walk from the city centre.
The City West precinct is home to the Lion Arts Centre and a number of galleries, cinemas and other arts organisations including SASA Gallery, ACE Open, JamFactory, Nexus Arts, Mercury Cinema and AC Arts.
Free City trams (stop City West) to the UniSA City West campus and Lion Arts Centre operate every day. Trams operate from Victoria Square and the Entertainment Centre along North Terrace to the Samstag Museum, UniSA City West campus/Lion Arts Centre terminus (stop City West). View Map.
The Samstag Museum does not provide parking. Parking may be found outside or near the Samstag Museum, along North Terrace, or in the City West Parking Station on Hindley Street, opposite the University's City West campus southern entry. Entry to the parking station is off Clarendon Street.
Schools + Group Visits
The Samstag Museum offers free guided exhibition tours for booked groups including UniSA staff and students, secondary and tertiary students and community organisations. Please contact us to book. See Learn for more details.
