ENG Midyear Entry

Welcome to the new School of Engineering. We focus on electrical and mechanical engineering and its application to industry for the benefit of the community, the environment and the economy.

Our leading engineering degrees give you a hands-on learning experience. Many student design projects are conducted within UniSA’s world-class research concentrations and final year projects engage heavily with industry. Your career will be off to a flying start.

We maintain an outstanding national and international reputation in applied research. Including leading edge research in systems engineering at the Defence and Systems Institute. Our school also undertakes collaborative research both locally and globally, aided by our proximity to Technology Park and links with the Defence Science and Technology Organisation.

The School of Engineering is also home to the UniSA Aviation Academy, the oldest aviation school in South Australia. Now offering in 2013, new programs in Human Factors, focussing on risk assessment and safety management.

More than fifty scholarships, prizes and cadetships further support and encourage our students.

      Excellence in Research Australia 2012

      In the latest Excellence in Research (ERA) assessment the University of South Australia was recognised as world class in engineering research. Specific disciplines in which our research performance was rated as world-class and above include: electrical and electronic, mechanical, material and resources engineering and extractive metallurgy.
