Welcome to the School of Law

The School of Law at the University of South Australia is an internationally oriented school with a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and research.

Offering single and a wide range of double degrees, our programs are characterised by smaller class sizes and flexible study options through the School’s trimester system. Our focus on experiential learning sees legal skills training such as mooting and witness examination embedded into courses. Global perspectives are encouraged through international mooting and overseas student  exchanges and placements.

At present the Law program is primarily an undergraduate one, although we strongly encourage doctoral studies in areas of staff expertise.  We are especially interested in drawing foreign comparative law PhD students who wish to examine international issues in  areas of commercial law and legal theory.

The school offers a range of services and events for the legal profession and wider community including our Law Evenings research seminar series and our free, student-run Legal Advice Clinic.

Based in a heritage listed building in the heart of the city of Adelaide, the school is well positioned to bring students a dynamic legal education whilst allowing them to enjoy the best of Adelaide’s wonderful lifestyle, safe environment and quality of life.
